Description:
Pompeu Fabra University is Catalonia's fourth publicly funded university. It is a young university, yet it already has its own little slice of history: it was founded in 1990 with 316 students taking two degree courses, and today it has 7,000 students, twelve degree courses and an expanding campus in the heart of the city, stretching between the Rambla and the district of Poblenou.

If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Because in Barcelona most exchange students use this way of accomodation, and not student residences. You are more indepent this way
Personal comments:
there is a good service BHSS (barcelona housing service for students) where you can find many ads, but i would recommend arriving there and looking for an apartment then!

razzmatazz on wednesdays, apolo on mondays, sutton on thursday, opium on friday or saturday... i could be going on and on, there is a huge and amazing nightlife in bcn! you will never have time to study

be careful when choosing your courses, some are suddenly unavailable for exchange students and others are in catalan (urban economics, financial economics and economic theory are accessible)

mobile phone plans are awful in barcelona when comparing to portugal. my housing arrangement was a bit expensive, but it is easy to find cheaper ones if you take care of that sooner than later
Food, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home.
Travel, Nightlife: was the same price as at home.

Drink at home before you go out!

Be careful when choosing your courses! Take some time to study for the final exams, I had two hard weeks at the end because of that.



FINAL COMMENTS

BCN is the best place to do your exchange program, I had the time of my life there and it was freaking awesome, I would do it again and again! It is the most amazing city.
