HOUSING
by Benjamin, University of Bath, Bath, United Kingdom
Business Studies, Erasmus
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Great advantage to be living with Spanish students. Landlord very friendly and approachable, very cheap rent.
Personal comments:
For students that prefer to be up around University / a quieter area of living choose St. Vicente. Those who require more of a party life and dont mind travelling to Uni each day, find one of the many flats available to rent in Alicante itself. Describe host city: Student life dominates the city
Nightlife: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Activities, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
Spanish "fiesta" is the best....A place not to be missed the "casco antiguo", in particular "desafinado". Have a mojito in "cozcorron", the best in teh world!!! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: Spanish
Was learning Spanish a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. How much did you improve your Spanish?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) Personal comments:
I can speak Spanish and English, but Spanish better. To learn a foreign language, the best way is going abroad to practise, because people there speak diferently. It´s amazing when you can express you emotion like a local people. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

EXPENSES
by Pundi, England, England, United Kingdom
Natural Sciences, Erasmus
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
An ERASMUS grant Other sources of funding:
An ERASMUS grant Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
I was housed through 'Houses for you' managing director Javier Ornia. they are the dirtiest most unproffesional, disgusting company I have ever delt with and are threatening and intimidatory. The company is run by idiots and the service they offer is worse than anyone can imagine. Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home.
