Personal comments:
Spanish is pretty easy for italians. Before leaving I did just 2 weeks of an intensive spanish course. It was the first time I studied spanish in my life. Yet after 2 months, I was able to interact with everyone and speak of almost everything.

Because almost everything is cheaper than home (except the mobile telephone expenses)
Telephone: was more expensive than at home.

To have about 7€ descount every month on pubblic transports and many more discounts on trains/buses, cinema and others do the "tarjeta joven" (young card), that costs only 7€
