Universitat de Vic - Fundaciò Universitària Balmes
Sagrada Familia 7, 08500 Vic, Spain
Description:
The University of Vic is of a different kind. It is a new model of a private university as far as its method of management and administration is concerned. However, it also maintains a clear vocation towards public service and a responsibility to its surroundings. A university with the optimum dimension for educational efficiency. A university with an international vision. A practical university with the objective for professional input.

Was learning Spanish a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. How much did you improve your Spanish?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
Since this university is based in Katalonia where they speak Catalan, it was not always as straight forward with the spanish language. I did not however experience any greater problems with it. Everyone speaks spanish and do not mind adressing you in that language if you are a foreigner. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

As the University of Vic is situated in Catalunya and the city itself is very catalan, all the people on the streets are talking Catalan - much more than I expected. It was sometimes dificult to find someone who speaks Spanish! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

In Vic people speak Catalan, it's sth between French and Spanish, so it's more difficult to learn Spanish there then in the other part of Spain, where people speak Spanish This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
