Why? It was confortable to live and share the apartamente with only one person.
Personal comments:
Every houses in Utrecht were really expensive and too small. It was not a problem because people never spend many time there.

The advantage was that everybody in The Netherlands can speak english. So, Ducht was not a problem to be able to understand people.

Every thing are more expensive in The Netherlands than in Spain. And also, you usually spend more money when you are not living at home.
