HOUSING
by Carlos, Universidade do Minho, Braga, Portugal
Economics, Erasmus
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? The people, the conversations, the simles, the friends. All things you can't get living alone in a apartment. The ambient was awsome. Culturally and personally living in a dormitory is a unique experience, and one we can only learn a lot from.
Personal comments:
The conditions were not the ideal, but as long we have clean space, hot water, a kitchen and a bed I'm don't really care. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Activities: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
I have yet to try lots of places. But I would say Tamsta Club is a quite unique place, and Sole Luna is a cozzy place too. I hope I'll find more in the coming months. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

EXPENSES
by Carlos, Universidade do Minho, Braga, Portugal
Economics, Erasmus
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
An ERASMUS grant Other sources of funding:
Family Personal savings Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
I had to use the oportunity of being in this side of Europe to visit every place I could, and otherwise would be to expensive to go to. The telephone was just more expensive because calling back home is always more expensive, no more calls than usually at my country. The nightlife and housing was quite cheap comparing to my country, but the nightlife rythim was more intensive than back at home probably. Travel, Overall, Telephone: was more expensive than at home. Food: was the same price as at home. Nightlife, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Don't spend your money on a good flat if you're not too wealthy. This experience is made for us to go out, adventure ourselves in a new world, not to stay at home. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
Not really. Maybe that a credit card is very useful when you're not in you're travelling. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Take the courses you like most, ask local students for help in the choosing process, and you'll do fine if you work hard enough. FINAL COMMENTS
Don't waste your time, if you're country is not in this side of the world, just keep travelling around, this can be a one lifetime oportunity to do it. Be open to all cultures, to all people, and you'll learn more than you could ever imagine! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
