STUDENT LIFE
by Maria, Norwegian School of Management BI, Oslo, Norway
Marketing and Sales Management, It was a part of my Bachelor of Science with Honours degree
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Activities: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
The favorite nightspot was Slippery Senoritas. The place was mostly dominated by Chinese Malaysians, but also to a lesser degree international students. You should also try out the small local bars in your neighbourhood. The best food you get at the local food courts, or small hidden shops, and generally the food in Malaysia is very good. When you want to get away from the city life, Lankawi island is only a short distance away. Perenthian islands on the north east coast, on the other hand, are more complicated to reach, but a place one shouldn't miss. It is quiet and really beautiful with good places for going snorkelling or diving. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
Not in particular. I was well informed from earlier students on what to expect. In my opinion:
I loved it but I'm not sure everybody would.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
The university is not the greatest academically, but one learn a lot about Malaysian culture and how the system works. They were extremely accomodating at the school. FINAL COMMENTS
Overall I find Malaysia and the people living there very interesting. It is easy to travel around in the country and people are helpful. If you want to travel around in Malaysia or to any of the neighbouring countries ask your taxi driver. He probably knows someone who can take you where you want pretty cheap or he arrange to do it himself just to earn some more money.
