Why? Gives space to make one's own living decisions
Personal comments:
The University at Boulder has a history of not having enough accomodations for its students. The increasinf number of accepted strudents and the small city's capacity makes it hard for students to find good accomodations.

Good cafes. There's a good number of bars in town but they do not offer any diversity in style or atmosphere.

Course recommendations:
I had excellent teachers only in 15% of the classes taken. The expected academic level of the student is poor, which makes the students do poorly. ("treat them like idiots and they'll act like idiots")

One needs to apply him/herself in order to get the most of the academics. Social life could be hard to get into if one is not very open.
