Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? The international student appartment where I lived was very interesting with people living there from all over the world.
Personal comments:
The university buildings were very nice. Well furnished and computers were ok. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Personal social experience
Describe host city: Student life dominates the city
Activities: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
All the clubs and cafes are forced to close at 2.00am wich is pretty early. I would recommend the Palace as a good Dance Floor. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

More discussions compared to in The Netherlands, in class. Less theoretic but more assignments and more to read compared to The Netherlands
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
For exams: less direct learning questions, and more insight questions Introduction for International Students would have been nice. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

EXPENSES

The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Family Other sources of funding:
Personal savings Work opportunities:
It was not legal for me to work Personal spending habits:
The exchange rate is very high. Spending one dollar is the same as 2,5 guilders in The Netherlands. Telephone more to keep in contact with friends and family. Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Buy a car for there, this will save a lot of money and time. Call only with the cheapest international phone cards, this can save much money Get used to the big effort needed to arrange things in institutions. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
Tuitions assistance programs: tuitions for international students who transfer are very expensive and therefore it takes a lot of resources to have the chance to study abroad as a transfer students (different for exchange programs) In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Take advantage of the many social life opportunities that are offered to you as a student: clubs, associations, sports, travel, team projects, personal research projects, international students... FINAL COMMENTS
The International Center is a great place to get all the information you need. People there are very nice and helpful. Use your time off to travel around the city and accross the State. Florida has so many unique places to visit that it would be too sad to miss the opportunity to take full advantage of being there. Finally, University of Florida is among the best campuses in the US in terms of college sports: go to the Swamp (UF football stadium) or to the O'Connell Center (basketball, volleyball...) to watch the Gators playing for the national title every years! Go Gators! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
