The University of Glasgow, founded in 1451, is the second oldest university in Scotland and the fourth oldest in Britain. The magnificent Main Building of the University, designed in Gothic style by Sir George Gilbert Scott, is one of the city's best known landmarks. The University has been on this site since 1870 when it moved from the city centre.

Personal comments:
There are some very good cultural events, concerts, expositions, movies. The Sport building is quite good, there are all kind of equipment there. I like to go to Destiny which is a night club. The Glasgow University Union Club is quite good too. Glasgow has two airports with economic flights through some cities of Europe.

The course is good but many things to learn in such a short time. It should be extended some months.

The exams shoudn't be only on a couple of weeks. We dont have enough time to breath from one to other, even some of them are in the same day.

In the beginig, the first month it was quite hard for me understand the scottish accent and slang. Right now maybe I have some influence of that georgious accent. I know the slang pretty well.

The life in UK is quite expensive. The food and accomodation is much more expensive than my home.
Food, Overall, Housing: was more expensive than at home.
Travel: was the same price as at home.

Try to find former students and ask them for their books. The books here are very expensive.
