Why? I would have liked to experience truly "living" as a British student.
Personal comments:
There was a wide choice of accomodation each offering different things. Some dormatories were more social than others, some had kitchens, some were catered, etc. They met a bunch of different needs.

The whole City Center! There are loads of clubs, pubs, nightspots that need not be missed that different people with different tastes can enjoy. Don't miss the indoor market and the Cornexhange!

If you keep a bank account at home, and use the ATMs there, take out large amounts of money at once, as service charges are expensive.
