Language, Erasmus
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Because I'd have the opportunity to meet other people from different social backgrounds.
Personal comments:
I think they do a pretty good job in trying to find a house to international students. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Personal social experience
Describe host city: Student life dominates the city
Activities: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
We tried to go to as many places as possible and didn't really do a lot of places twice! But we had a weekly meeting point at the Eldon, every tuesday a lot of intenational students met there, almost all international students knew about that and it made a lot of contacts possible! No, it wasn't. How much did you improve your English?

The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Family Other sources of funding:
None Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
Students from pretty much every country will find the UK more expensive due to the value of the pound. However Leeds wasn't nearly as expensive as London. It was nice to be in a student dominated city that had to cater to students with discounts, cheaper drinks then London. Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Food: was the same price as at home.
Personal comments:
The biggest expense was travel. You have be realistic with the money you have available, how much traveling you can do. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
I wish I had known how demanding my course would be! If you're interested in postgrad studies in the UK please make an in-depth research of the universities you'd like to study and ask for any information packs listing modules and course structure. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Leeds university is extremely vibrant and diverse and has a very good academic reputation. Teachers are friendly and easy to approach, however it's inherent in their teaching role to demand a lot of hard work on your part! FINAL COMMENTS
Go to Natwest if you dont have a UK bank account! They are very open and friendly and will spare you a lot of hassle! One branch is opposite Uni and there are plenty of cashpoints across the city. For accomodation advice visit unipol's website and finally take it easy when the workload starts building up and reward yourself with a coffee, drink or shopping spree! Leeds is a wonderful place to study and you will make many friends from all over the world.Hope this helps! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
