Overall, the University of Manchester was an excellent institution; I definitively grew as a person and learned a lot along the way. I would recommend this institution with the caveat that it sometimes becomes far too easy to spend too much money on nightlife. Make sure you budget carefully and you will be fine. Read Review

KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.

Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? While on-campus accommodation helps to develop friendships with other students, having already established a strong base of colleagues in Manchester,I would prefer the flexibility of apartment living
Personal comments:
The Fallowfield campus at the University of Manchester was very centrally located, and I had no problems getting to/from class and the city centre. Additionally, the accommodation halls always provided many interesting social events and engaging activities.

Plenty to do when I had the time.
So-so.
Did not get involved.
Nightlife
Travel
Overall
Describe host city:
Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment
Activities: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment
Personal comments:
Manchester has the largest student population in Europe, so naturally there are many places that cater to the university crowd. While I cannot choose a single spot, Manchester is a city filled with numerous gems of bars, restaurants, and night clubs. I particularly enjoyed going to Matt and Phred's, a jazz club in the Northern Quarter.

A bit annoying.
Didn't like it.

Overall
Personal comments:
While I acknowledge that this may be difficult given the number of students, more interaction with the professors would greatly help motivation and understanding of the course material.
