HOUSING

Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Living on campus was too expensive
Personal comments:
Accomodation was very well organized. I got to live in the appartment area of the university which is quite better than living in the dormitories. In the dormitories you don't have enough space and no chicken and living room This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students interact with the local community without much university involvement
Activities: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Personal comments:
There are cool places to go especially in South Beach as The Level which is a club where they play cool music (techno, house, hip-hop and so forth)....good clubs are also The Iguana Cantina and The Chili Pepper in Coconut Grove .... you can also find good cafe bar both in South Beach and in Coconut Grove....particularly interesting is the 5 de Mayo festival which is a cuban festival which takes every year on May 5th..... My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
Choose your courses carefully, so you can have your credits transferred to your home university.
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
Coming from a country with a cold climate and moving to a country with a tropical climate can affect your academic life. It's so attempting to spent all your time at the beach:) This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my English How much did you improve your English?
My level before: Basic phrases My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
It is not to hard to communicate to other students/proffesors... but if your home language is spanish, you shouldn't talk a lot with latin people because they are a lot at this University and you will end up talking only in spanish and not improving your english. Personal comments:
AVOID BYING NEW BOOKS!!!THEY COST A FORTUNE. MAKE A LIST BEFORE GOING GROCERY SHOPPING. YOU TEND TO BUY MORE IF YOU DON'T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED. CALL COLLECT WHEN YOU CALL HOME. THE RATES ARE VERY HIGH. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
