Scotland is less than 2 hours away. The Hadrian Wall starts right outside of the city. Lots of typical castles to visit. Pints of beer at just a pound. Read Review

Geordies do have a pretty strong accent, close to the Scottish one. Their slang is very tough too. But you get used to it and teachers and students usually are not from the area.
