The courses at Chapel Hill are very high quality. The teachers are well qualified and really interact with their students. The classes offered were of a higher stage than where my studies were up to back home, but I managed to adapt quite easily.

Yes. Lectures were compulsory and only two could be missed throughout the semester. This would have been fine, if it were not for the fact that international students are entered into classes last and therefore get the least favoured pick of class times. I was therefore stuck with classes starting 9am or earlier all five weekdays! I would suggest international students be given special consideration in terms of picking class times, perhaps with preferences given earlier.

I chose to go to Chapel Hill because of its great academic standing. I wanted a real challenge and thus made sure I picked courses that really interested me and were high level and reading-intensive. I took two graduate and two undergraduate courses. I'd really given myself that challenge I was looking for and had to work harder than ever before! It was wonderful, though. Both the faculty and the course material were inspiring.

The general curriculum courses varied in level and interest, but at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication the courses were good, the teachers had a lot to give and since we had small classes we got a lot of guidance.

More projects and perhaps a required internship.

if you're interested in economics or sociology you have to take economics of the familiy or economics of demography - Boone Turchi is just great!

Courses in the Kenan Flagler Business School are among the best provided in the US. Every business classes are top quality classes.

No improvement

All business courses are excellent. I also really liked an International Studies course called Global Issues.
