There's a very high quality of life in Finland and very good conditions for studying (better than in my home university). Go there if you want to experiment something different that you will never forget ! Read Review

ACADEMIC
My academic experiences
Quality of courses
KEY:
Fantastic.
Pretty good.
Could've been a bit better.
Disappointing.
Variety of courses
Availability/access to resources
Interaction with teachers
Interaction with other international students
Interaction with local students
Course recommendations:
There are a lot of courses at low/middle level, but a lack of advanced ones. If you've already studied 3 or 4 years, you could have difficulties to find convenient courses. Otherwise, everything is ok.

My opinion of the university assessment
Exams at end of course
KEY:
Liked it.
It was alright.
A bit annoying.
Didn't like it.
Exams throughout the course
Essays and/or projects at the end of course.
Essays and/or projects throughout the course
Overall
Personal comments:
No. It's great because you can take the exam as much as you want and keep the best result !

Sometimes it was difficult.
It was a constant struggle.

Language of instruction: Finnish
Was learning Finnish a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Finnish
How much did you improve your Finnish?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.)
My level after: At ease in most situations
Personal comments:
Finnish is an hard language but its knowledge is absolutely necessary if you really want the courses to be useful, because they're almost all in finnish (that's quite normal). But for foreign students teachers are comprehensive and can prepare exams in others languages if you ask. Almost all the population can communicate in a foreign language.
