Description:
The University of Pennsylvania, a charter member of the Ivy Group, is ranked among the finest comprehensive universities in the world.
It is a place where teaching and research are unconstrained by traditional disciplinary boundaries; a campus environment that encourages interdisciplinary study. It is a place where teaching embraces both theory and practice in keeping with founder Benjamin Franklin's admonition that we "…learn every thing that is useful and every thing that is ornamental."

Why? I am an independent person who sometimes enjoy my privacy and the fact that I can work both at home and at my office.
Personal comments:
Pretty good accommodation options, however near campus they were pricy.

Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't.
How much did you improve your English?
My level before: At ease in most situations
My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang)
Personal comments:
The language experience was awsome. The lack of interaction with local students it's something that should be pointed out because of the high degree of competence among the students.

FINAL COMMENTS

Philadelphia is a great city. At times students at UPenn tend to stick to the campus facilities, but it is worth to get accustomed to the city and take advantage of its many attraction: Philadelphia Museum of Art with an amazing collection, 5th street, the Church on 22nd and Locust is a nice venue for concerts, West Philly is a charming neighbourhood going through a gentrification process right next to the campus, as well as Camden - the city across the bridge in NJ (not very prosperous but definitely interesting).
