the improvement i made in speaking english during the nine months I've spent in England was terrific, attending the courses at University was very helpful as well as the short period of time that I worked at the university's cafeteria and the time spent with international and local students

Having already good knowledge in English before I went to Reading, the Erasmus stay allowed me to improve, on one hand my oral English thanks to speaking to my host family and local people, and on the other hand my vocabulary of business English during the courses.

coming in Great-Britain from my university, I was not really used to speak the everyday language. however, after staying a year in reading I felt really at ease whether in academic English, everyday English and slang

I didn't have any problem. All the people I met were kind and they tried to help each time they noticed I had some difficulties but this barely happened.

I came from America, so I just needed to cope with the accent and a couple of variations (queue-line, lift-elevator, mobile phone-cell phone), and overall, it was no problem.
