Description:
The University of Strathclyde was founded in 1796 as Anderson's Institution. From its foundation the University was different from the other, much older, universities in Britain; it aimed at a wider range of students and a broader variety of subjects, especially those concerned with 'useful learning'. The University of Strathclyde has two campuses: the John Anderson Campus in the centre of Glasgow, where the Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences, Engineering, Science and the Strathclyde Business School are located, and the Jordanhill Campus, with our Faculty of Education, in the west end of the city.

ACADEMIC
My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
Don't take it. Choose another marketing course at another university.
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
I advise that you do not do this course. It is not well taught, several of the lecturers do not listen to the students and are very dismissive of suggestions or questions I have had. The Marketing Works is not fun, you do not get to work in an office as expected from 'work experience', you still have to sit in a library all day staring at a computer. You have very little social life and no time to go traveling. The £ is way to high for what you get taught, the facilities are poor, most of the books are falling apart and the Department smells like fish and is not modern at all. Try another University like Warwick, Glasgow University or a London university. :( The good parts are that some of the lecturers are experienced and competent teachers. You have access to the marketing building for 24 hours and the lecture theater is new with lots of seats. This University Business School was voted best in UK apparently but the marketing departments is not exactly part of the Business School, it just says it is. Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. Personal comments:
The language was in English and Scottish accent difficult to understand. No one is forgiving if you don't know english very well. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...

About the University and the way it was taught. In my opinion:

Personal recommendation:
Be honest to students on your advertisements for the course. The marketing department exaggerates how good it is so it's very good at marketing. FINAL COMMENTS
Glasgow is a useful place to go travelling around the UK and Europe with cheap easyjet and ryanair flight. The weather is bad though, always cold and raining even in summer. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
