Description:
The University of Strathclyde was founded in 1796 as Anderson's Institution. From its foundation the University was different from the other, much older, universities in Britain; it aimed at a wider range of students and a broader variety of subjects, especially those concerned with 'useful learning'. The University of Strathclyde has two campuses: the John Anderson Campus in the centre of Glasgow, where the Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences, Engineering, Science and the Strathclyde Business School are located, and the Jordanhill Campus, with our Faculty of Education, in the west end of the city.

Business Studies, Independent
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? That's because I think it's the best way to meet people and live in an International community
Personal comments:
It was fine, With my own room and bathroom and with a common kitchen and living room for four people. It was a great experience of socialising and living by myself. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
It is difficult to make friends with local students - they know you are only there for a year. I did not think it would be a problem, as I am a really outgoing person and make new friends easily. It was a bit depressing at the start. The other thing I underestimated was the amount of reading I had to do for the courses. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
It was a great course, but a lot of work. Be prepared. Apart from that, you need good references and marks to get accepted. FINAL COMMENTS
Don't travel by bus - it is a 26 hours nightmare. BA has special prices at certain times of the year - check them out at the travel agents. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
