apart from housing, things are not neccessarily that much more expensive, it's just that you tend to do more stuff when you're abroad Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home.

it's 'thongs', not 'flip-flops'! also, it helps to read up on the different suburbs beforehand, so you have a general idea about where you want to live In my opinion:

get involved! participate in Orientation Week and a club or two in order to get to know people and improve your experience abroad FINAL COMMENTS
