HOUSING

Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? New accomodations very close to University, library, sports center and supermarket!Everything is arranged including for example Internet connection...
Personal comments:
While I had to move twice since the accomodations had to close down in June and we as January cohort were still in the middle of our course, my experience at UWE has been a pleasant one. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
In my course, the lecturers should invite professionals in different business area to talk about their job, their experiences. So we, students, could ask them questions, and this helps to reltae our studies to the needs of some job positions.

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my English How much did you improve your English?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) Personal comments:
I improved my English throughout my whole stay in Bristol. I was speaking English everyday. I only had a few opportunities to speak my mother tongue.I am very pleased today to be able to speak a very good English. During the Academic year I took English classes to prepare the Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English. It helped me to read faster and write better. I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
The cost of rent were very high which explains why i have spent more overall. I have spent less on nightlife and travel since i was more focused on studying than on partying and since iwas leaving on campus, i didnt have to travel much. Food, Overall, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Telephone: was the same price as at home. Travel, Nightlife: was less expensive than at home.

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
That I could had started the academic year in February (winter semester). I would had taken more time to save money back home. In my opinion:
I loved it but I'm not sure everybody would.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
I recomend UWE because I found the life on campus agreable, the courses are fine but the most important is that the lecturers are accessible. (At least those teaching in my program MSC International Management). FINAL COMMENTS
Start to look for an accomodation very soon (around April or May). You can find some flexible part time jobs: barman/maid (on or off campus). If you can, choose your housemates, because yu will be living with them for a whole year. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
