HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? more comfortable and cozy, and when living together with other room mates it's cheaper
Personal comments:
my room was tiny, poorly furnished (used furniture), horrible sanitary facilities, and the walls were so thin you could hear every word from your neighbour. The windows were not airtight so it was freezing cold in the winter time. I lived together with 12 students on my floor who had to share one fridge and one shower... STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students interact with the local community without much university involvement
Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Activities, Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
not in Wolverhampton. Better travel to Birmingham which is only 20mins by train. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my English How much did you improve your English?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
the courses were held in English. I must say that the accent spoken in the West Midlands is quite hard for people who start learning the language because the people speak a heavy dialect. So in social life it was sometimes hard to understand them right away This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Family Other sources of funding:
Government assistance An ERASMUS grant Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
I think in general Britain is quite expensive compared to Germany or other European countries. Food, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Travel: was the same price as at home.
Personal comments:
convenient food is cheaper than cooking for yourself but unhealthy on the long run. try to cook in a large group together so you can save money. vegetables and fruits are very expensive not to mention eating out. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
