HOUSING
by Wouter, Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, Groningen, Netherlands
Management Science, Erasmus
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I lived in a student corridor with a lot of Swedes, which was a great way to get to know locals
Personal comments:
The apartment buidling was in a quite boring area but since everyone was here it didn't mind. All the things you needed were present. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
by Kimberly, University of Oregon, Eugene, United States
Political Science, University Agreement
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Student life dominates the city
Activities, Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Personal comments:
The best night spots for students are the nations. They are cheap and only students go there, so it's a lot of fun. There is a sald bar in the Galleria that you have to try out. I ate there almost every day!!! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English

Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. Was learning Swedish a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Swedish How much did you improve your Swedish?
My level before: Did not speak it My level after: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) Personal comments:
As far as I already spoke english and german, it was quite easy to learn swedish, and especially because the hos university provided free swedish lessons. Thus it enabled me to work in pubs and to improve my swedish even more. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

To work in the Student Nation. The Salary there was very low. But I understand that is because they need to pay a little. It was nice to work there anyway. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
