HOUSING

Law, International, Erasmus
Personal assessment
Cost
KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.
Facilities
Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Plenty of space.
Personal comments:
It varies quite widely. There are student accomodation sites spread around town. I would recommend Kantorsgatan because it is located closer to the centre of town, although the parties are at Flogsta.

Personal comments:
Orientate the courses more towards previous academic experiences, not always a wide range of possibilities available.

Language of instruction: Swedish
Was learning Swedish a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Swedish
How much did you improve your Swedish?
My level before: No problems in any areas (including slang)
My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang)
Personal comments:
I lived with a host family for a year when I was 16 and I learned Swedish through that experience. It is difficult for English speaking exchange students to learn Swedish since all the Swedes speak English, but there are Swedish courses available.

I wish I had known...
Information is important but the university sent us a brochure to know a little bit more about the housing, the student life, the university. No more needed. As well we had information from other students of our home university that were in Uppsala a year before. Very well organized.
In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
