Main source of funding:
Government assistance
Other sources of funding:
Family
Personal savings
An ERASMUS grant
Work opportunities:
I worked during my study abroad experience
Personal spending habits
I took many opportunities to travel further than I would normally, and my phone calls home were obviously more expensive. Generally the British pound to Swedish Kronor exchange helped me a lot, but those coming another time might find food and drink (especially alcohol) considerably more expensive than they are used to at home.

Academic
Course recommendations
Professor Iain Cameron is a bit of hard task master but his course in International Law was inspirational. Don't take this course if you want to party. Do take this course if you want to discover a very fluid, constantly changing, challenging and very rewarding area of law. I would especially recommend it if you are interested in international affairs and politics.

Not really. If you want to study then you can reach your potential and more, if not then you can enjoy the great parties.

Final comments
Ryanair flys quite cheaply from both Paris and London Stansted, although try and fly into Vasteras because the connecting bus to Uppsala is a lot easier than travelling through Stockholm. If you can get cheap flights to Arlanda then thats the best place to land - the connection is a quick and direct train ride!

It varies quite widely. There are student accomodation sites spread around town. I would recommend Kantorsgatan because it is located closer to the centre of town, although the parties are at Flogsta.

Personal comments
The "Gasque" events at the Student Nations are not to be missed! They are like fancy dress balls and take place many times over the year although the Spring-time ones are special. Also the incredible Valborg party around the same time is reason enough to attend Uppsala! Spend lots of time in the Student Nations, but don't overlook the great Cafes around town, especially; "Storkens" and "Cafe Linne".
