HOUSING
by Rosamaria, Universita degli Studi di Trieste, Trieste, Italy
Business Studies, Erasmus
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Student residence
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I would no longer be a student, and in student resideces people lead student lives, very different from a worker's lifestyle. The worker needs more a quite household than a student.
Personal comments:
It was a new-built student residence, with all the facilities one can desire, expecially because it was located in a shopping center. Nevertheless it was located in an industrial area, the flat was very dark and the cleaning could have been much better. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Travel: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Activities, Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
Youi should visit the famoust student partys, some best clubs? Hmmm...Q, Palais Kinsky, Volksgarten. There are many cosy cafes like RossoNero, Segafredo at Stefansplatz...In summer there is a great fest on the Danube, discoso outside on the river...just amazing. And in Vienna there are so many concerts of popstars. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
This university is not well organised for the exchange students. We had a lot of problems regarding the immatriculation to the courses, becase of the limited number of places. Suggestion: It had been better to reduce the number of exchenge students in order to give them more possibilities in the selection of classes.
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
no, the courses I went they were perfect This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: German
Was learning German a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. How much did you improve your German?
My level before: My level after: Personal comments:
As there were a lot of foreign students there weho didnt actually speak German, it sometimes got a little frustrating when you tried to speak German to the local students. They would recognise your English accent and so speak German to you thinking you had no German at all. However when I made Austrian friends, they would always try to speak German to me.
