Wroclaw University of Technology (WUT)

Politechnika Wroclawska, Wybrzeze Wyspianskiego 27, 50 370 Wroclaw, Poland
4.25 / 5 based on 42 reviews.
Description:
The Technical University of Wroclaw (Politechnika Wroclawska) was founded in 1945 when a group of Polish academic teachers, mostly from Lvov, arrived in Wroclaw. The city was still burning from the last siege of World War II. They established the University in the buildings which had housed the Technische Hochschule Breslau since 1910. The first class began on the 15th of November 1945 and ever since this day has been celebrated as the University's anniversary.
The University campus is situated 1,5 km from the City centre and occupies a large area splendidly located on a bank of the Odra river.

Personal comments:
I went to Poland to improve my English level, when I arrived there I realized that only young people speak English (actually like in Spain) so I had to look for other ways to practice my English. It wasn't difficult to find the opportunity: International students. I started to get on with students from other countries (Germany, Portugal, Italy, Slovakia, Turkey) so at the end of this experience I am quite satisfied with my progress.

Personal comments:

It was quite hard to learn the basic of polish but in the end I could manage my self. English is rare among non students but there are lots of students and people willing to help you in anything.
