Description:
Based on the Ministry of Education's academic assessment ranking, XJTU is currently top-ranked in the disciplines of management science, business administration, and power engineering. Its School of Management is consistently regarded as one of the top Chinese business schools. The School of International Education was founded in March, 2006. Since the school establishment, over 2,000 international students from more than 30 countries have participated in Chinese study. Through a combination of Chinese listening, speaking, reading and writing, international students can acquire a vocabulary of 800-1000 Chinese words after 6 months and 1500-2000 after one year.

My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang)
Personal comments:
Shanghainese dialect is used by the locals, while Mandarin language is the official language and the language of instruction. Locals speaks the Mandarin with sometimes a strong accent.
