In English

Two people were sitting by a fence. The first says:
"Tell me, if I'm looking at you, and thinking of something, and you know that I'm thinking of that thing, and you're thinking of the same thing, isn't it just as if we had said it?"
"Well, yes..."
"Then, which of us is it like he had said it?"

Aspect markers are written between [brackets]; words that are not needed in Zoinx and have been inserted in English to add some legibility are written in {braces}.

are-there two persons by {a} fence, sitting. say{s} the one [which is] one {i.e, the first}:
" say-[imperative] [you] to me, if look-[present] I at you, and think-[present] I of something, and know-[present] you that think-[present] I of it, and think-[present] you of the-same, to-be-[negative]-[question] it as-if [that] say-[relative-past] we it?"
" yes [doubt] ... "
" and, to-be-one-and-the-same-[question] it which [of] us, that to-be it as-if [that] say-[relative-past] he-[antecedent-ref] it? "

A translated sample

Here is some sample text from Les évadés de la boite verte, translated into Zoinx.

English version

Suddently a green light appeared at the top of a hill; it was soft and spread like smoke, sliding in the valley. I was looking, fascinated, at this strange phenomenon, and didn't realize until the last moment that I was surrounded with it.

It was then that the green container appeared, or rather, it was then that I saw it, in all its fascinating horror. It had materialized in the green mist like the dew appears in the morning. Its presence was growing thicker, and also larger. A strange sound appeared, which reminded me of two years earlier, when I'd heard the sound of the wind on the Sahara; a melodious sound like the Ancients attributed to the Sirens.
