Thailand is a good place travel. The Thai are friendly though they can't speak fluent English. Take sometime to learn Thai language, it could be very helpful to travel around the country.

It's a campus full with many other nationalities such as Lao, Vietnam, Myanmar, India, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, etc. Students are tend to form a circle of own nationality. But as long as u are willing to break the ice, making friends with others by speaking English is not a problem.
