I wish I had known...
That the university is not really good. Some teachers are not able to speak English. Lots of strikes. Teachers are sometimes not very motivated.

You should use the weekends to travel around the mainland or to some islands. Ferries for Greek students (incl. Erasmus) are very cheap (only slow ferries). Take care by renting cars. It is better to pay little more and have an overall insurance. GREEK TRAFFIC IS CRAZY!!

AUEB P.R.I.M.A Program Master of Science in Marketing and Communication
Elena A
Romania, Graduate
Business Studies, 2010
Overall
This is a hierarchical, academic international Program.
Much have I learned from this particular Program, that other students may not have, abroad, in other similar or competitive Programs. The quality of international visiting Professors  was high, maybe I was too young to realize at that time.

A.U.E.B. is a public institution focused on academic achievements and as a Univ. it is ranked high in hard skills development. Assessments may range from multiple choice to  other types of assessment (presentation, groupwork, practical: survey-design). What was also very well were the company visits. I have very good memories of my hard learning experience.

Most of graduates focused on entry level Marketing functions in various enterprises.

Take it easy, try to do the administrative stuff as early as possible (just in case there is a strike the day/week you have to leave)

The airport bus is really much cheaper than taxis. Never social talk with a taxi driver, they will just increase the price.

Look for some more space. The university is really too small for this amount of people. The library therefore is not silent at all and the cafetaria always overcrowded.

Buy the lonely planet guide of Greece (the latest edition). You really find everything you need from busroutes to prices of different activities. This is really the bible for Athens!

One of Athens' leading universities
Dimitra P
Greece, Undergraduate
Business Studies, 2020
Overall
My experience with Athens University of Economics and Business has been excellent. The curriculum is very well designed to provide its students with the necessary knowledge and tools in order to build their careers in today's competitive market. Most of the professors are willing to communicate their vast knowledge to the students and the lectures are informative. As for the administration, it provides exemplary services, especially compared to other Greek Universities. No unnecessary bureaucracy, kind and helpful employees.
