Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU)

The dorms are more like apartments. The rooms are either doubles or singles. There is a kitchen space and a living room. The number of bathrooms and fridges depend on the number of rooms attached to the common space (this ranges from 2 to 8). There is no carpet (this is common in Israeli houses!) but the tile keeps the apartment cooler during the hot summer months and is very easy to keep clean. There is no oven, but there is a gas stove. I loved living there!

While the dorms were not as glamerous as dorms in the US, I loved my room, and my appartment, and have no major complaints. When I first moved in, it was rather dirty and unkept. Aside from that, I really thought the meyonot were perfectly acceptable.

It is in a very good location with a lot of friendly people. The apartments themselves are very nice too concidering they are university housing. Deluxe compared to American dorms. Very nice!

they should make space heaters available to the students in the program b/c while in the summer it is very hot, by the end of the semester, it was pretty cold

It was warm, with great people always around. There is an awesome interaction with Israeli students which is very rewarding in many ways.

It was really nice, convenient and easily accessible from anywhere in the city.
