Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
The dormitories are too cramped and unhomely to live in for a whole year. I prefer the space, flexibility and comfort afforded by an apartment.

Personal comments
The university provided accommodation is incredibly cheap and very well located. The downsides are that it is usually dirty and very cramped. You are almost certain to have to share with between one and three other people. I would certainly recommend moving into the university dormitories to begin with as this is a very good way to meet people, and then , if you prefer, finding an apartment.

Academic
Course recommendations
The quality of courses is very variable. Those that are for just the international students (doing there whole degree here but in English) tend to be of a lower standard and those that are for Hungarians as well higher.

Personal comments
The combination of Hungarian being a difficult language to learn and almost all of my friends being other exchange students has meant I have learnt very little Hungarian. For this year it wolud have been useful to speak Hugarian because not very many Hungarians speak English. There are a considerable number who do speak good German and some with Italian.
