It's a small university which gives you the chance to interact with the professors closely. Also there are lots of resources for research eg. open society archives.

Learning Hungarian was a challenge to me especially because I was surrounded by international students rather than Hungarians which made it hard to practice and develop my Hungarian. However, that international environment helped to develop my English. My language of instruction in Turkey was English too, but in Hungary, speaking all the time English with my friends, I guess I improved my speaking skills.

The university provided out-of-dorm students temporary accomodation until we found an apartment to rent, but it was an awful plave and we really hurried to move out of that place. They could have provided a better temporary accomodation so that students could have better searched for an appropriate apartment for themselves.

You can enjoy gypsy music and folk dance with delicious food in Kaldy Pince which is inside Hotel Domina Inn Fiesta, and it is really cheap compared to other restaurants with dance and music. Cha Cha Cha Club on Margit Island is an open bar-club with a nice atmosphere. There are lots of cafes with good coffee or other kinds of drinks in Raday and Vaci Utca. Swimming pools and Turkish baths are famous in Budapest. Szecheny is the best of them I guess. There are street festivals especially in summer time where you can listen various kinds of music for free
