I know all the universities in Montreal quite well. I would say that Concordia distinguishes itself by it's multicultural aspect, most of the students are immigrants or children of immigrants. This diversity is also true concerning their age. This makes this university a really diverse one very representative of the reality of Montreal.
I liked Montreal a lot. It's not the nicest city in the world but life there is really enjoyable. A proof of this ? I am back there, studying in HEC. Convinced ? Don't hesitate to contact me for questions.

There are interesting cities to see : Quebec city (very, very nice : try to visit it for the carnaval in February), Boston, New York, Toronto and Ottawa.
Quebec is also a nice province : I advice you to go to the whales in Tadoussac and to visit Gapésie.
Finally I will make a myth fall : the Niagara falls are not worth it, so sad but it's better to go to Las Vegas to see planet Hollywood and Casinos....

Is an excellent option. Is not a close campus, that allows you to life in the city and go to the school. Is a University with a comitment with the society. They always organize discusion about the problems in the world. The Students can gather in diferent groups in order to share or help. Is amazing!!!. I found I could fullfil many interests balonging to diferent asociations

The weather is hard. In winter time the maximum is -7. Any way, there are many diferent ways to enjoy the snow. Don't buy boots with laces, you'll need to remove them frecuently. With zipper are better.

“Courses cover a significant range of material”
Andrea W
Canada, Licence
Sociologie, 2023
Évaluation globale
The courses are generally very good covering a lot of material and giving you a vast array of knowledge. However, I’ve had many difficulties for both terms getting into classes I’ve wanted, for example I was prohibited from joining a political science class if I wasn’t fully enrolled in the course. Some teachers aren’t as engaging as I would hope but all have extensive knowledge and are always open to questions. Student life is complicated with two separate campuses, living on the Loyola campus doesn’t make for a very good or cheap experience of Montreal student life. Services are generally average, excellent gym facilities though very limited sport programs. Health care services are very good considering they’re included in tuition, however the cafeteria could be largely improved with healthier food.

Points forts
Great city, one of the largest choices for undergraduate courses
Inconvénients
Almost too large of a university to suit the needs of the students
