Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Appartements are quite inexpensive in Montreal even if prices are increasing a lot every year. If you want to meet people and spare money, choose a shared appartements, they are very popular here.

I would advice you not to live in the students' rooms offered by Concordia because of three reasons : you will have to share them, they are quite expensive (in comparison with the appartements) and you'll have to leave near Loyola Campus (lost, very far from downtown and the other campus of Concordia)

I went to Concordia University to take my specialization courses in International Relations. I wanted to perfect my English skills and to discover an English speaking teaching environment. I had a great experience there. The professors in the area I studied are very competent and there are a lot of International students who study there so it is a great place to meet people from different cultures.

Because housing is pretty adequate in Montreal. The experience of finding an appartment and living within a typical Montreal neighbourhood added to the experience of the whole exchange.

The rent was a little bit high. Landlords don´t respect international students and tend to over charge them with a deposit.
