I understood italians have many more problems with english than students coming from other countries. They all were speaking english very well and often english was their only language of instruction. But I had no problems in communication or comprehension

Personal spending habits
Cost of life is in Denmark is higher than in Italy. I saved money just for the telephone because I had not my mobile phone(italians are always speaking at mobile...)and maybe for nightlife because often the entrance of clubs was free for international students, but drinks were more expensive.

Personal comments
I spent four days in Stockolm and it was a financial disaster! We had a very humile but expensive accomodation and we spent a lot for services (Boats, parking, museums entrance...). If you want to save money in denmark you have to shop at discount, eat at home with friends and go out after dinner.

I wish I had known...
More information about the accomodation offered by the host university. When I was there I also discovered a wider variety of courses available.

Personal recommendation
Speak directly with your tutor or the exchange responsible before leaving home. Usually they are very nice and they can give you some information useful to have before leavig (about accomodation, organised events and courses).

On summary I can just add Copenhagen is a beautiful city with a great atmosphere a vivid nightlife a beautiful summer weathher, great parks. I had some travels for vacations but rarely I enjoied more than studying in Copenhagen. I really liked Danish lifestyle: they know how to work but always how to relax and have pleasure from life. Last but not least: CBS is a good university with a stimulating atmosphere.

No doubt: go to the Park Cafè on Thursday night. It's an amazing place with students, locals live music and disco. There's also a very nice open space with music and bar. In Copenhagen you can always find something to do in the night a part from Sunday and Monday. During the day you can have a nice walk in the centre of the town, there are many nice shops or spend the day in the museums. If you wan to travel go to Aarhus it's a very nice university town. Take a look at Christiania, Tivoli and moreover the National Museum

I was accomodated in student house; everyone had his ownroom but kitchen, bathrooms and lounge were common. In the summer time it was quite empty but it was very nice to eat and have relax with other students in the lounge. We had some parties in our place with students coming from other accomodation. The place was really nice and it was perfect for social life but we were just twenty in a three floor house with fifty rooms and it was not so close to the campus and the centre of the town.
