International Night (Wednesday) at the Student House was always fun and you could meet a lot of new people. Vega was a nice club and the Jazz House was fun. The best times were had at a tiny little tequila bar (whose name escapes me...)

Housing
Type of housing: A room exchange
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: A room exchange
Why?
That is the best way to get to know other students and make friends. Plus, the locations of some of their residences are great!

I lived in an apartment share very close to the main shopping and entertainment area (Stroget). The Housing Office was very helpful in arranging housing and also addressing any concerns that we had.

I found Danish to be a very hard language to pronounce! Most Danes speak beautiful English anyway, so communication was not a problem at all. I do wish that I had taken a Danish language course throughout my studies. The crash course isn't enough.

Personal spending habits
Copenhagen is an expensive city, but I'm from New York City so I really didn't notice much of a difference. I strongly recommend drinking at home first before going out because it is much cheaper to buy alcohol at the supermarket than in bars/cafes.

I wish I had known...
I wish I had known how much opportunity there is for travel. I would have brought more money and better luggage. I also wish I knew that the school had amazing computer facilities. I brought my laptop and didn't use it once! Also buddy up with a group in your classes and copy the textbooks - they are very expensive!

Personal recommendation
I highly recommend CBS! The time I spent there was one of the best in my life and I hope to go back soon. The school itself was beautiful, everyone there was very nice and helpful, and I still can't get over the fact that there were bars in the school. I especially enjoyed the Hawaiian-themed party.

Copenhagen is an amazing city, but don't forget to take advantage of the location and explore the rest of Scandanavia too!

Academic
Course recommendations
Honestly, the classes weren't too organized. In the classes I took, they were filled with international students. That's fine because I met a lot of great people, but with only maybe 5 Danish students per class, it was hard to meet and interact with local students. But I guess that's what the Uni bars are for!

No - I thought it was a nice change to come to an academic environment where I only had to take one final exam at the end of each course. It definitely left me a lot of time to enjoy Copenhagen and travel and explore Denmark.
