The university night club is called The Planet. They have things going on almost every single day of the week. Another interesting bar is the Varsity, which is also very close to the campus.

They send you information about all the choices of accomodation and help you with the applications. The Halls of Residence I stayed at was Priory Hall and in my opinion it is the best option because you are on campus, you can walk to class, and in addition, you are in the city centre, at walking distance from shops, bars, discos, etc. It is a little bit expensive, but it is worth.

Personal comments
I was studying Modern Languages (with English as my first foreing language) and was quite fluent in English before coming to England. However, after my whole year there, I realised that my language skills had improved enormously, especially in the colloquial and slang levels, since it is hard to command these areas if you do not spend a period of time in an English-speaking country. I can consider myself bilingual now thanks to my stay in Coventry.

Academic
Course recommendations
In my case, I had to work really hard the whole year, because I was in my final year and I was to obtain my BA both by my host university and by my home university. What I liked about my courses is that there were very few students in each class, which encouraged a very direct teacher-student relationship.TEachers were very helpful at any time.

I like the education system in this university, which was very different from the one I was used to. I liked the fact that we had to continously hand in projects and essays, because it is the best way to learn.

Final comments
The universtity organises trips to some cities in the UK at very good prices for international students. Take advantage of them!!! Don't travel by train if you can avoid it, it is much more expensive than bus. The national bus company (National Express) has a travel card valid for one year at a very reasonable price thanks to which you will obtain discounts in your trips.
