First of all, on campus there were lots of funs moments, as it has Campus Village, Cellar Bar on tuesdays, Red House parties every month and Kampsax student residence parties on thursdays. In Copenhagen, The Moose bar is very good to have some beers and chat with friends, Kulor Bar on fridays was very cheap (perfect for students, as Copenhagen is expensive), Copenhagen Business School parties on thursdays were very cool, and finally LA Bar, a disco-pub, not large, but near The Moose. For sightseeing, I recommend to visit Vor Frelsers Kirke church, near Christiania, and to go up to its highest point, were you can have a good view of Copenhagen. Also, Carlsberg museum is quite good, were you can taste 2 beers for 5€ (in 2006). Don't forget to visit Tivoli in Christmas!!!

Although I would have preferred to live on campus, my house and its location (between university and Copenhagen city centre) were pretty good. The only negative thing was my host was not very friendly with me.

Denmark is almost a bilingual country, so it was not a problem to speak English there in the most of situations. About university, they offer courses in English language specifically. In fact, I was surprised some courses were in English but not in Danish, so Danish students have to do these courses in English if they were interested in them. This means this university really cares about English language skills of its students.

Recomendaciones de cursos
There should be more copies of courses textbooks in the library for consulting, as they were so expensive to buy for an international student.

I couldn't get money in Sweden in a ATM with my Visa card, maybe because it is a debit card, but I didn't have such problem in Denmark. This was a specific problem, in general I have no problems.

Si lo hubiera sabido...
Be able to ask Accommodation Office of university to live in Campus Village. In general, they look for and suggest any kind of accommodation for you (family, house, room, campus, etc.), and if you don't accept his suggestion, you have to look for on your own.

Recomendación personal
If you are studying any kind of engineering, Danmarks Tekniske Universitet in Lyngby (10 kms from Copenhagen) is your university: Very good teaching method, media easily accesible, library, etc. This university cares about international students: It offers an introduction week before starting every semester, where you can meet other international students. A Danish student was assigned in order to help me in every problem I had and finally we become friends.

Travel as much as you can, Erasmus year is time to get to know other places, cultures and life styles (Denmark is very well located between Scandinavia and center Europe). Try to meet international friends, your English will improve surprisingly. Despite general opinions, you can find very very friendly people in Denmark, but you have to be prepared to meet the opposite: Very cold Danish people, who don't want to talk to you or become your friend. However, my main advice is you have to enjoy Erasmus experience staying abroad the whole year!!!
