Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Independence, near the campus and pretty new. its a residence called Shanowen Hall, just like on campus residence but better in terms of independence and facilities.

Personal comments
The University could have helped more in housing services. The situation has changed this year, as there are two new residences near the university campus that are prety good. Last year there were not such student residences, and housing was based in looking for houses near the University. The houses in dublin are quite old and many facilities. The University residence is only able to accomodate 30% of the students, so the new residences have been very handy, also to lower prices, as housing prices in Dublin are quite high.

Personal comments
I have studied in an english school when I was young, so learning the language was not the main reason for going to Dublin. However, I have been able to become more fluent both writing and speaking. I wanted to study abroad in order to take advanage of my fluency in English.

Final comments
Studying in DCU will allow students to be more independent in terms of study, as they will be left with lots of free time that is supposed to be spent studying. It will be up to the student to keep up with the courses. If you are well organised, you can be up to date and benefit of some free time too, that will enable you to travel around ireland or to other countries in europe, as flying ticktes are really cheap if you buy them in Ryan Air.

Academic
Course recommendations
The system is very interesting as it is different from the Spansh one, in terms of assesments and exam structure. It is really interesting going through both.
