It was hard during the first weeks - Irish slang and so on. Totally different from the "normal English". But after the first month - no problem.

go and enjoy yourself. try to get to know as many local students as erasmus ones...i would advise living off campus. oh and get a monthly bus ticket. it´s much cheaper.

You might not have many hours of lectures per week, but DCU asks for a huge effort from students concerning off-lecture hours...loads of assigments and papers to wirte...but nothing one can´t handle

Be aware that Dublin bus drivers do not provide change to users...try to have the exact fare, 1.35 if going to DCU...It´s a bugger, but then you´ll be able to buy bus tickets.
