EMLYON Business School (EM LYON)

Emlyon, as a part of their Asia Europe Business School initiative, has collaborated with a Chinese university, ECNU, to allegedly offer a unique opportunity of getting a double degree in Business Administration, with a program that is supposed to come across as a particularly attractive opportunity for international students, as they get to have an English-taught program, while dividing their 4-year long studies in 2+2 system — meaning you spend 2 years of your undergraduate degree at emlyon’s Asia campus, located in Shanghai, and then go to France to finish off the last 2 years. 

In reality, what at first glance appears to be a great opportunity to get a diverse experience and a useful international degree is a severely underdeveloped, poorly structured program, with no proper coordination among the administration of both of the schools mentioned. 

Many professors appear to be unqualified to teach the subjects in English, which is the primary language of the program, as their language proficiency is so inadequate that it negatively effects the learning experience. 

The amount of classes is unreasonably overwhelming, causing many students having to do retakes, as you have to complete the curriculum for the required courses from both emlyon and ECNU. 

There are simply not enough international students enrolled, as this program appears to be experimental, and therefore is not acknowledged by a majority of foreign high-school graduates.

Je suis très satisfaite de mon début d'expérience à Emlyon Business School. J'ai notamment apprécié les cours ADN qui nous ont permis de réaliser des travaux concrets tout en apprenant.

Les cours, d'une richesse rare et très variés sont dispensés à la carte permettant un parcours personnalisé. Les élèves, qu'ils sortent de classe préparatoire ou d'admission parallèle sont d'excellent niveau et font foisonner une vie étudiante riche, permettant une professionnalisation rapide mais douce. Une école excellente de très bon niveau permettant une insertion parfaite dans le monde de l'emploi

Bonjour, 

Les cours sont très variés dans cette école et j'apprécie particulièrement le parcours "à la carte". Par ailleurs, la vie étudiante est très riche (associations, campagnes, évènements etc).
