Personal recommendation
It is a very small university and in the classes taught in Spanish you tend to have little contact to local people if you don't speak Spanish well. Good are the projects in teams.

Final comments
The Basque Country is a very beautiful part of Spain and a trip along the coast should definitely be part of the stay.

Personal spending habits
I spent more for calls than at home because communication costs in Spain are higher than in Germany, in particular in short calls (> 1min). Regarding housing costs San Sebastián is one of the most expensive cities in Spain but it's easy to find a place.

Housing
Type of housing: flat-sharing community
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
It's a good experience to share a flat with nationals as it's a chance to learn the language and to get in touch with the foreign culture.

My personal best cafe is Café Babel in the quarter of Gros with very nice people working there and free Internet access. For nightlife almost any bar in the Old Town and "Reyes Católicos" is recommendable, my personal favorite to have a drink is the bar "Uda Berri".
