Most courses at Erasmus are in English. Dutch people in general speak English fluently so there are no communication problems.

Personal recommendation
Ask local students about the courses before choosing. Some courses are much easier and less work than others, which is good to know when having to choose courses.

Final comments
In general, Rotterdam is a great city for doing an exchange. There's plenty of activities and the international office is very helpful.

Housing
Type of housing: student residence
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I would choose the same student residence again as it's close to university and most other exchange students live there too

Personal comments
I stayed in the International House. Although the rent is high and the facilities aren't the best I would recommend it to everyone as all exchange students live there and it's very close to the university. Alternatively, Casa Erasmus is across the road and cheaper, so that is also a good option. Housing is arranged through the international office, one can say preferences in terms of type of housing and prices.
