It is better to travel in groups as you can group discounts, and when going to other countries it is sometimes to fly but to book a flight early to get the best discount. When one goes on exchange, they should take every opportunity to learn the local language, it is one of the best investments one can make.

Personal comments
The problem is that local people know that students are hardly looking for accomodation, so they rise prices a lot. And there is no government help as in France for housing costs. But the quality of housing is excellent.

the EBS should be more organized. They are nover sure of what courses will be offered for sure the following semester. I had to wait until I was there to be sure that the courses I needed were actually going to be offered

If you're there, you should go to Frankfurt for daylife (animations on the Zeil) and nightlife (U60311). The best thing to do there is to search good local websites announcing events, concerts... on this region.

I wish I had known...
Yes! That ebs is a University that you should only choose on academic grounds. As harsh as it might sound, you are likely to have a better time elsewhere, due to the remote location and slightlightly unfriendly local students.

Don't go there except on academic grounds, for which the University really is an elite place, that will also be very useful on your CV should you want to work in Germany sometime, due to its top reputation. Socially, you are likely to have more fun elsewhere...
