Personal spending habits
food is really cheap in Germany, specially in supermarkets such as lidl or penny markt. Housing is more expensive, but can also find cheap accomodation. Nightlife, beer 2.50 euro, just as in Mexico. cover 5 euro. Travel, gets more expensive, because you travel more when being there. Overall is like being in Mexico City, based on my needs and habits.

In germany everything just works smoothly and fast. Except for the high cost and bad service from the Telekom, and some bureocracy in the University. Dresdner bank gave me the best service. Books over ebay just work fine. Besides, you dont need to buy books at all, except 2 or 3 books for law. Dont be a nerd!

I wish I had known...
That nightlife in Reutlingen sucks. That germans are nice, and reliable people, but a little bit close to foreigners in this southwest part of germany.

Travel tips, buy a Bahncard 50, gives you a lot of flexibility. Use your bike for everything, you dont need more., you excercise, have fun, and is cheap. Buy a good new bike, you use it everyday!! Wear good gear for the extreme weather since you will be riding your bike. At least breathable warm gear and gloves. During summer travel by bike to several cities or towns such as konstanz. Join an association or group. Explore the city and eat good ice cream in town. Have fun, be yourself, think about the advantages of where you are, and exploit them. Dont think of the disadvantages. You will find plenty, WHERE EVER YOU ARE.

No problem at all with the language, fast to catch up with some special technical terms. The exams are answered in german. Professors do not grade gramatic or spelling mistakes, just content, perfect for me!
