i went to Berlin, to improve my German. My course in Ireland was called International Marketing, and therefore fluency in a foreign language would not just help in the workplace, but be a necessity. The classes in FHTW were much more personal than in most Universities. Lecturers knew your name. You got to know your classmates on a first name basis too. This familiar setting definitely helped me and my classmates improve our knowledge of the Gereman language

I didn't go to Berlin to learn German, I just liked the city. My knowledge of German was pretty good to begin with. My writing and reading skills improved considerably but my spoken German not. This because of the basic German some of the International Students spook. My English has improved alot in Berlin. I spent alot of time with native English speaking students and I consider my English to be fluent now.
